Rajajinagar is on the west side of the city, the same general direction as Wonderla, which is out past Kengeri on Mysore Road. In practice, though, Fun World is the closer day out: about 7 km across to Palace Grounds, against roughly 30 km of Mysore Road traffic.

By metro, take the Green Line from Rajajinagar station to Majestic, switch to the Purple Line for three stops to Cubbon Park, and finish with a 3.4 km auto ride.

Metro or car from Rajajinagar?

Both work, and the right answer depends on who's coming. The metro route is the Green Line from Rajajinagar station to Majestic, three stops on the Purple Line to Cubbon Park, and an auto for the last 3.4 km. Teenagers going with friends tend to prefer it: no parents driving, no parking charge, and the auto fare split four ways is small.

With young children, a pushchair and a bag of wet clothes, the car is easier. Palace Grounds has paid parking with staff and CCTV. Leave by 10 and you'll get a spot without circling.
