Water World at Fun World is about 6 km from Hebbal, a 15 to 25 minute drive down Bellary Road to Palace Grounds. It's open from 10:30 AM to 4:30 PM, with a wave pool, a lazy river, multi-lane slides and around 45 water attractions. One ticket, ₹999 online for an adult, also covers all the Fun World rides until 7 PM.
In April and May, Hebbal's traffic and heat make a long drive to a water park feel like a bad trade. Water World is 15 to 25 minutes away, on Jayamahal Road just past Mekhri Circle.
Distance matters more for a water park than for most outings. The pools open at 10:30 AM and close at 4:30 PM, so every half-hour in traffic is a half-hour less in the wave pool. From Kempapura, Nagawara or Sahakar Nagar you can leave after breakfast and still be in the water when it opens.
Your ticket also covers the dry rides until 7 PM, so nobody has to hurry out when the pools shut. Stay for a roller coaster ride and head home once the evening traffic on Bellary Road has eased a little.
What you'll find at Water World
Water World is the water park half of Fun World, with around 45 water attractions on the same 24-acre site. The big ones are the Tsunami, which has the park's longest queue at about 45 minutes at busy times, and the Shark Ride. Around them are multi-lane slides, a wave pool, a lazy river and splash pools for younger children.
Trained lifeguards are on duty at every water attraction. There's cabana seating for anyone who'd rather watch, and live music and DJ sets on some days.

Leaving Hebbal: plan around the 4:30 PM closing
The pools open at 10:30 AM and close at 4:30 PM, two and a half hours before the rest of the park. From Hebbal, allow 15–25 min on the road and leave by 10 AM. Arriving at noon costs you a quarter of your water time.
From Hebbal, the time to leave for home is right when Water World closes at 4:30. You'll clear Mekhri Circle before Bellary Road fills with office traffic heading north, and wet towels in the car for 20 minutes is nobody's problem.
Summer-holiday weekday mornings from Hebbal
In April and May, when schools are shut, the smartest Water World plan from Hebbal is a weekday morning. The drive is 15 minutes before the office traffic builds, the pools are at their quietest right at 10:30, and you'll have the wave pool largely to yourselves for the first hour.
By the time weekend-style crowds arrive after lunch, you've done the slides twice and can drift round the lazy river while everyone else queues for lockers. Book online the night before: ₹999 an adult, ₹799 a child, and it's the same price on any day.

From the Hebbal flyover, head south on Bellary Road towards Mekhri Circle and follow the signs for Jayamahal Road. The entrance is opposite the TV Tower. On a weekday morning it's a 15-minute drive; on a Saturday after 11, give it closer to 25. If you're not driving, any BMTC bus heading down Bellary Road towards the city stops at or near Mekhri Circle, and an auto covers the rest.

What to bring, and what you can't wear
Pack for the rules, not just the sun:
- 100% nylon swimwear for everyone going in the water. Sarees, churidars, pyjamas and burkhas aren't permitted on the slides, and swimwear is sold on site if you forget.
- A ₹500 note for the locker deposit. It's cash only and refunded when you return the key.
- A towel, a change of clothes and a bag for the wet things
- Your own food if you like. It's allowed; alcohol isn't.

Bringing children from Hebbal
A child's ticket covers anyone between 80 cm and 140 cm, and children under 80 cm go free. Height matters inside too. Some slides need 122 cm (48 inches) or more, and each ride posts its own limit at the queue, so check before a younger child gets their hopes up.
