Water Park Near Yelahanka: Water World at Fun World, 15 km South

Water World at Fun World is about 15 km from Yelahanka, a straight 30 to 50 minute drive down Bellary Road. The pools run from 10:30 AM to 4:30 PM. The ₹999 online ticket includes the wave pool, the lazy river, the slides and every dry ride at Fun World until 7 PM.

North Bengaluru gets hot by March, and Yelahanka's newer layouts don't have much shade. When the kids start asking for a pool, the nearest proper water park is Water World at Fun World, about 15 km south on Bellary Road.

It's an easy drive by Bengaluru standards: one main road, the Hebbal flyover, and you're at Palace Grounds. The pools are open from 10:30 AM to 4:30 PM, so leaving Yelahanka a little before 10 gets you in when the gates open.

What you get is a wave pool, a lazy river, multi-lane slides and splash pools for the smaller ones, with trained lifeguards on every water attraction. The same ticket covers the dry rides until 7 PM.

What's inside Water World

Start with the wave pool, then the lazy river when you want a break without getting out of the water. For bigger thrills there are the multi-lane slides, the Shark Ride and the Tsunami, which is the park's signature ride and has the longest queue. Younger children have splash pools and a separate toddler zone.

Timing it from Yelahanka: the pools close at 4:30 PM

Water World is open from 10:30 AM to 4:30 PM every day, while the dry rides run until 7 PM. That 4:30 closing is the single biggest reason visitors feel short-changed, so work backwards from it. From Yelahanka, leave by 9:30 AM to be at the gate for opening.

If you're coming from Yelahanka with small children, plan to leave the park at 4:30 when the pools close. You'll be on Bellary Road before the evening rush, and tired kids asleep in the back is the best outcome.

Bringing a toddler from Yelahanka

Yelahanka New Town and Jakkur have a lot of young families, and a water park with a baby is a different trip. Children under 80 cm enter free. The toddler zone and the splash pools are shallow and supervised, and lifeguards are posted at every water attraction.

A few practical things help. Arrive at opening, when the splash pools are calm. Bring swim nappies, a small towel and a change of clothes in a separate bag. And plan to leave around 1 or 2 for a nap in the car on the way back up Bellary Road. There are more ideas in a toddler-friendly park day.

From Yelahanka, it's one road almost the whole way: Bellary Road (NH44) south, over the Hebbal flyover, down to Mekhri Circle and onto Jayamahal Road. Expect 30 minutes early on a weekend and closer to 50 once the Hebbal stretch fills. Buses on the same road run towards Mekhri Circle, and an auto from there takes you to the entrance opposite the TV Tower.

What to bring, and what you can't wear

The dress code is strict, and it catches people out. 100% nylon swimwear is mandatory. Burkhas, sarees, churidars and pyjamas aren't permitted on the slides. If you forget, swimwear is sold on site, but it's cheaper to bring your own.

One ticket, two parks. The online rate is always the lowest: ₹999 for adults and ₹799 for children (80 to 140 cm) and senior citizens. Counter prices are higher, at ₹1,199 for an adult on weekdays and ₹1,499 at weekends and on holidays. Children below 80 cm aren't charged, and every price includes 18% GST.
