Water Park Near Sarjapur Road: Water World at Fun World

Water World at Fun World is about 19 km from Sarjapur Road. Leave by 9 AM and you'll be in the water close to its 10:30 opening. Expect a wave pool, a lazy river, the Tsunami and multi-lane slides, with lifeguards on each, from 10:30 AM to 4:30 PM. The same ₹999 online ticket covers 100+ dry rides.

Most Sarjapur Road apartment complexes have a pool, but no wave pool, lazy river or 45-odd water attractions. For that, the nearest big option is Water World at Fun World, about 19 km in at Palace Grounds.

It's 55 to 90 minutes by car, and there's no metro, so timing is everything. The pools open at 10:30 AM and close at 4:30 PM. Leave Sarjapur Road by 9 AM and you'll get the full six hours.

For families in Kasavanahalli, Haralur and Kaikondrahalli, that's the whole trick. Leave early, do the water first while the kids have energy, eat the lunch you packed, and finish on the dry rides until 7 PM.

The slides, pools and rides at Water World

There are about 45 water attractions. For thrills, there's the Tsunami (ride it early, before the queue builds) and the Shark Ride. For racing your friends to the bottom, there are multi-lane slides. For floating, there's the wave pool and the lazy river, and for small children, splash pools and a toddler zone.

Lifeguards are posted at every water attraction. Cabana seating at Water World gives parents and grandparents a shaded place to sit with the bags.

How to get six hours in the water from Sarjapur Road

The pools open at 10:30 AM and close at 4:30 PM, two and a half hours before the rest of the park. From Sarjapur Road, allow 55–90 min on the road and leave by 9 AM. Arriving at noon costs you a quarter of your water time.

From Sarjapur Road, bring your own nylon swimwear and a picnic lunch, and have a ₹500 note for the locker deposit. The drive is long enough that you don't want to spend your first half-hour in the park sorting out logistics.

Water first, then the dry rides

From Sarjapur Road, the trip is long enough that the order of the day matters. Do the water park first. It opens at 10:30 and closes at 4:30, while the dry rides run until 7, so leaving the water until the afternoon means racing the clock.

Morning is also when the pools are least crowded and the kids have the most energy. Change back into dry clothes after 4:30 and you've still got two and a half hours on the Roller Coaster, the Pendulum and the family rides, by which time the evening traffic back to Sarjapur Road is easing. Head in along Sarjapur Road to Koramangala, then Hosur Road and Richmond Road into the centre, and through Cantonment to Jayamahal Road. Budget 55 minutes if you leave early on a weekend and up to 90 on a bad day. There's no metro on Sarjapur Road yet, so this is a car or cab trip. Leave by 9 AM and the worst of it is behind you before it starts.

What to bring, and what you can't wear

The dress code is strict, and it catches people out. 100% nylon swimwear is mandatory. Burkhas, sarees, churidars and pyjamas aren't permitted on the slides. If you forget, swimwear is sold on site, but it's cheaper to bring your own.

• Nylon swimwear, a towel and a full change of clothes
• A ₹500 note for the locker deposit. It's refunded when you return the key, and it's cash only: no UPI, no cards.
• Food and water if you like, since outside food is allowed (alcohol isn't)
• A sealed bag for wet clothes on the way home

Is Water World right for young children?

Children under 80 cm enter free, and a child ticket covers 80 cm to 140 cm. Some of the bigger slides need a height of 122 cm, so shorter children will spend more time in the splash pools and the wave pool's shallow end. There's a dedicated toddler zone, and lifeguards are posted at every water attraction.

Your Water World ticket is also your Fun World ticket: both parks, unlimited rides, all day. Book online and it's ₹999 an adult, or ₹799 for children between 80 and 140 cm and seniors aged 60 and above. Walk up to the counter and an adult pays ₹1,199 on a weekday or ₹1,499 at the weekend. Under 80 cm is free, and GST is included.
